Zebras are native to Africa. There are different types of zebras, but they all have stripes. Zebras have been in danger of becoming extinct due to the activities of people, but they thrive in captivity, so there is hope that they will not disappear. They have a sharp sense of hearing which helps them escape other animals which hunt them. They live in small family groups, but gather in large herds when food is plentiful.
