Coyotes live mainly in North America. They are related to dogs and wolves. They eat on birds, large insects, small birds, rats, mice and other small rodents. The howling of a coyote can be herd at night in many parts of North America. Usually, they are not a threat to people, although any animal can be dangerous if cornered, frightened or sick.
