Ladybug

Ladybugs are tiny flying beetles, which is a very large group of insects. Sometimes they are called sun beetles or ladybirds. Many of these brightly colored beetles have a black head and a shell that is redish-orange in color with black spots. They have wings under their hard shell. They live in many countries around the world. Ladybugs help protect garden plants and crops by eating huge numbers of aphids, scale insects, and other harmful pests. That maybe the reason why in many countries they are thought to bring good luck. The ladybug lays several hundred eggs a year.
